wine characteristics

"Hoopa" is a brightly colored PIWI wine. PIWIs are in fact grape varieties that are resistant to fungal diseases. They are the result of constant human research and selection, which has been in place for several decades, of crosses between vitis vinifera (wine) and American vine varieties (resistant to fungal diseases), which are allowed for all purposes for the production of quality wines. The advantage is the minimal number of treatments (from 2/4 annually) carried out and the resulting environmental impact for their cultivation. View: brilliant color, straw yellow with greenish reflections. Nose: very fruity aroma with very distinctive tropical and aggrumate notes, such as pineapple. Floral notes also of wisteria, combine with a slight hint of bread crust. Taste: harmonious, flowing wine with rightly persistent perlage.

For this wine, a classic white vinification is made with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature. After that, malolactic fermentation begins in the wine. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle through residual sugars from the first fermentation at a temperature of 15°C and lasts about 2 months. Sparkling wine with the bottom.

We recommend serving this wine at a temperature of about 4-6°C.

A label that narrates the journey to increasingly sustainable agriculture!

The name "Hoopa" was inspired by an ancient language spoken by the Hupa people.
For us, each of the Piwi wines represents the stage of a journey into a new and unexplored world that we are experiencing day by day. The names chosen for the PIWI wines bring back the imagery of exploration, travel and discovery: "Huakai" represents the journey; "Kontiki" the means used to land at the final destination; "Hoopa" and "Hurrah" the moment of rejoicing with the group for reaching the destination.
Our journey into the world of PIWI wines is told on the bottle thanks to the "storytelling" labels and the dragonfly, ambassador of "clean" agriculture. The label depicts "Mandalas": exotic designs that reference the tropical scents that PIWI wines manifest.
