characteristics of Tuscan IGT red wine
Aroma: the nose reveals deep and persistent aromas of red fruit, such as blackberry and raspberry, which give way to a delicate balsamic finish with notes of boxwood.
Taste: on the palate, the wine has good structure and persistent tannins, but is balanced at the same time.
Well-ripened grapes are harvested by hand and vinified in red. Maceration lasts about 15 days, with repeated daily punching-down. This process facilitates a gentle extraction of tannins and anthocyanins, which give the characteristic ruby red color and great longevity. The wine ages in steel vats for 8 months and in the bottle for the remaining 4 months.
